Guitar Lesson
Easy Guitar Lesson –
I want to start this guitar lesson with the idea that I wrote this to be extremely simple for the beginner and allow you to start making music right away. If you need more help or if you are looking for a real online guitar school click the banner above to get started instantly!
O.K. here’s a simple guitar lesson that beginners can dig right into.
The first and most simple guitar lesson or rather guitar chords for beginners are the ones that only require you to use one finger. Some beginners are taught to tune their guitar differently allowing them to use one finger for many different chords but in this guitar lesson I am going to recommend standard tuning.
These are a few of the one finger chords I was talking about in standard tuning.
The G Major Chord
Put your ring finger (third finger) just behind the 3rd fret of the high e string (the thinnest string also referred to as the 1st string)
Now strum string 4 through 1 and there you go an easy open G chord. Want to play a G7 chord the easy way? Just slide your finger back to the 1st fret and strum as you did for the G Major chord. Onto the second part of the guitar lesson.
Very Simple C Major Chord
Place your index finger (also referred to as pointer or 1st finger) behind the 1st fret on string number 2. For this chord you are only going to strum strings 3 through 1.
As you can see in this guitar lesson that these open chords are extremely easy and very simplified, but the goal here is to get you making music with your guitar fast, keeping you motivated and excited to learn. The G Major Chord and C Major Chords sound nice when played together.
I also wanted to mention that these are called open chords because they involve open string when strumming the chord. Again this guitar lesson was meant to be extremely easy, and if you are looking for some real serious guitar lessons and want to learn how to play guitar then click the banner above to get started…
