Major Scale Guitar Lesson 1

In this guitar lesson we start off by breaking down the major scale in 3 easy to remember patterns:

  • 1-2-4 Long
  • 1-2-4 Short
  • 1-3-4

Once memorized you’ll be able to play the Major Scale in any key anywhere on the fretboard, by using this approach even our most advance guitar students are looking at soloing and lead guitar playing differently.

So many times guitar students get stuck in the “box” shape of playing and can’t seem to break free. This system is designed to break you out of that habit and view the fretboard in a linear and vertical way allowing you more fretboard freedom!

These guitar lessons are in a series and will take you all the way into modes. Until next time –Rick
