Beginner Guitar Lesson 4

In this guitar lesson Don takes a look at your first open chords. Open chords are the foundation of your playing and all beginners should build a strong foundation and understanding of open chords. This lesson will show you how make the chord shapes of:

A Major – E Major -D Major

And you minor open chord shapes:

A Minor – E Minor – D Minor

And again remember that in this lesson we are just giving you a quick overview of these chords. In our Core Curriculum we will cover these chords in much more detail… It never hurts to have a head start though!!!

After getting the shapes down we will go over chord switching techniques that will help you change between chords smoother and much more efficient. There a re few different tricks we use for this. Until next time – Rick
